Try an Abbey Theme
"There aren't enough hours in the day"
Many of us are awakening to a longing for a better way to live. We want to shape and use our time for all kinds of good and yet we find we don’t have time to do this. This feeling of a “lack of time” has us carrying a heavy burden, and feeling perpetually stuck and a slave to time.
Check out our first Abbey Theme: Time. We are asking together:
How might we embrace the freedom and goodness of God's gift of time in our everyday lives?
An abbey can be a powerful demonstration of an alternative order, a way of living everyday life in a society that is coming apart.
Today a growing movement of Christians share the conviction that God is still walking about and active in the places we live and the practices that shape our daily lives.
The Abbey is made up of companions who are ready to take creative action in everyday life.
We take it one day at a time. One month at a time.
It is a slow journey and we are committed to everyday living that is deeply rooted in the practices and traditions of our faith.
